Procter & Gamble makes history with seven brands in one ad while letting fans choose the spot’s story

How does Sofia Vergara clean up after an epic Big Game party? We’re about to find out in a Big Game spot. Better yet, fans will help tell that story. 

That’s the game plan for Procter & Gamble, who will make waves in two ways. The first is with an ad featuring seven different P&G brands, including Bounty, Charmin, Old Spice, Febreze, Mr. Clean, Olay and Head & Shoulders. 

And those brands will be represented in the ad by their respective spokespeople, a commercial star roster that includes Rob Riggle, Busy Philipps, the Charmin bear, Isaiah Mustafa, Troy Polamalu and Sofia Vergara. 

But the real history in the making will be how the ad lets consumers decide how Vergara and her guests clean up the mess. That will take place the week before the Big Game via an interactive site that lets fans choose different scenarios (think “Choose Your Own Adventure”).  The most popular fan suggestion will become the final Big Game ad.
