Anheuser-Busch pre-releases aim for a SpotBowl title
There are two things you can count on when it comes to Anheuser-Busch and Super Bowl commercials. The first is that they’ll be the game’s biggest spender. Each year, they purchase between three and four minutes of air time (this year it’s four).
The second thing you can count on is that Anheuser-Busch will almost certainly be a contender for the SpotBowl title. A-B or one of its beer brands has won six of the 18 SpotBowl titles. Still, the brand has struggled recently, failing to place in the top five finishers in each of the past three games.
The brewer hopes to end that dry spell this year, and they’ve brought back their iconic Clydesdale horses in a play for the title. Check out the pre-released spot above and Anheuser-Busch’s other pre-release – Guy Fieri as the mayor of the Land of the Bold Flavors – below. Which one has the best shot at the title? We’re going with the horse, even if the “animal overcomes adversity” formula is growing a little old by now.
