With the exception of Patriots fans, most of America thought that last night’s game was about as entertaining as watching Andy Warhol eat a Whopper. But that just means that the ads carried the show, right? Well, mostly.
Humor and celebrities were the big themes of the night, so it’s no surprise that the top three ads in Pavone’s SpotBowl Super Bowl commercial poll all featured familiar faces and lots of laughs.
The poll also featured Pavone’s proprietary social media tracking program, which saw Olay rack up 1.2 million mentions, and we programmed a skill that allowed ad fans to vote using Amazon’s Alexa.
When the final votes were counted, M&M’S was the clear winner, with a spot featuring Christina Applegate and some quarreling candies in the back seat of a car. Check it out below.
